Mt.Tōno-dake(塔ノ岳)

Mt.Tōno-dake is a 1,491-meter-high mountain in the southern part of the Tanzawa Mountains in Kanagawa Prefecture.
You can see Mt. Fuji from the top of the mountain and it is one of the most popular mountains in the area.

There are two main trailheads to the top of the mountain: Yabits-Tōge-Pass(ヤビツ峠) and Okura(大倉).
It takes about 4 hours from Yabits-Tōge Pass to the top of the mountain, and about 3 hours and 30 minutes from Okura to the top of the mountain.

The recommended route starts from Yabitu-Tōge Pass and finishes at Okura.
It is known as a practice course before climbing the North Alps as it is within a day's walk of Tokyo, with a ridge line and a chain-linked track on the way.

The Okura ridge is commonly called the "Baka-One(Stupid ridge)" and it is not recommended to climb the mountain from here because it is a steady uphill slope.
Although many people climb this mountain on a day trip, you can consider staying at the "Sonbutsu Sanso hut(尊仏山荘)" at the top of the mountain. The night view of the Kanto region seen from there is amazing.

Go to Odakyu Hadano Station, and from the bus stop in front of the station, take the Kanachu Bus "Hata 21 bound for Yabitu-Toge via Minoge(秦21 蓑毛経由ヤビツ峠行), and get off at Yabitu-Toge.

2. [Outward] Shibusawa Sta. to Ōkura

Go to Odakyu Shibusawa Station and take the bus "Shibu02 bound for Okura(渋02 大倉行)" from the north exit of the station and get off at Ōkura bus stop.
