Mt.Tsubakuro-dake(燕岳)

Mt.Tsubakuro-dake(燕岳) is a 2,763 m high mountain located in the Northern Alps of Nagano Prefecture.
It is an elegant and beautiful mountain called the Queen of the Alps, where colorful alpine plants such as Komakusa bloom on the white granite sand and gravel, and it is popular with many climbers as a relatively safe and healing alternative to climbing the Northern Alps for the first time in all seasons.

The trailhead is called Tsubakuro-dake-Tozan-guchi(燕岳登山口) in Nakabusa Onsen (about 1,450 m above sea level), and from there to Enzan-so Hut (about 2,712 m above sea level) is about 5.5 km in elevation difference of about 1,260 m, and it is an ascent of about 5 hours on a well-maintained mountain trail.It's a steep climb to the Kassen-goya hut(合戦小屋) on the way, but the trail is well maintained and safe.

2. [Outward] Takehashi Sta.(Tokyo) to Nakabusa-Onsen

Board the highway bus "Mainichi Alpine-go Tsubakuro-dake, Jone-dake, Choga-dake Line" from the west entrance lobby of the Mainichi Shimbun at Takebashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line, and get off at Nakabusa Onsen.(Reservation required)

At Nakabusa-Onsen, board the highway bus "Mainichi Alpine-go Tsubakuro-dake, Jone-dake, Choga-dake Line" bound for Shinjuku , and get off at Shinjuku Station.(Reservation required)
